Hi my name is Sabrina And i have a spinny box puffer who is very sick. this is how it happened. i went to my normal fish store and got a koran and the day i put him in my show tank the koran would not leave my puffer alone at all,, so for sure my puffer got ich!
So i raised the temp. and do a 10% water change. And watched him for days get worst and worst so i did a another water change and then a another.at this time the koran was not bothering my puffer but my flame angel was nipping at him and biting him as even taking off the skin on his spikes. so now i have moved him to a new 55 gallon All alone so no one will bother him, he is now changing colorhis sripes are kinda fading? But the fins that were bit off have grown back but his skin is getting worst what can i do to save him. Please help him

I would suggest you immediately get the puffer into a quarantine tank and away from the angel.... Here's an excellent article on to treat ich: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-08/sp/index.htm

The ich may *look* gone, but it is still there, in another stage of its life cycle. Do take the live rock *out* of the quarantine tank; it can only harbor the ich.

At this point, I think you need to use hyposalinity and water changes for the puffer. Tempt him with his favorite foods -- frozen krill, or even live brine to initiate a feeding response, if necessary. The skin problem may be bacterial; you might treat that with Spectrogram or Kanamycin.

The angel is likely to get ich, too -- so he may need a second quarantine tank.

And the live rock, live sand, and the rest need to fallow for at least a month so that the ich will die off.

Long-term, the 55g is too small for the angel....

Acting like he is blind may be a result of poor water quality in the tank. Definitely do a water change. As to how much, that sort of depends on what your water quality levels are. What are the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels?
